Phase 1: Analysis - Vision - Roadmap

By documenting the current state in each of the 14 PPM Discipline Areas we are better able to understand the rigor and adoption levels of each of these areas. Identifying specific opportunities by Discipline area will enable improved maturity. Each opportunity will have a brief description and a high-level estimate of effort and the expected business value of implementing that opportunity. This all comes together to provide a Prioritization Graphic, the Go-Forward Business Case, and an overall Implementation project schedule.
1. Analysis
During the Analysis Phase, we complete interviews with key Stakeholders and Team Members and review Project and Process Documentation. Next, we develop draft findings to be reviewed with your team based on the Project Assistants Project Management Maturity Model. The Analysis Findings will document SSD’s Current State.
2. Vision
During the Visioning Phase, we facilitate Visioning Sessions with key SSD Stakeholders. Based on the agreed upon Vision (Future State), we identify “Gaps” by comparing the Current State with the Future State. That Gap Analysis will be used to help identify initiatives to move the organization towards the defined future Vision.
3. Roadmap
The Roadmap Phase will include specific transforming steps for the targeted Project Management Disciplines. This Roadmap will contain a holistic plan to address the improvements relating to organization role definition and training, methodology and processes, technology and tools, and governance and adoption. The Roadmap includes a detailed approach, estimated budget and supporting schedule for the subsequent Implementation and Adoption Stages.

Phase 3: implementation and adoption
1. Deliver Coaching & Mentoring
Regular one-on-one mentoring sessions with project resource managers to ensure continued consistent adoption of best practices.
2. Provide Processes & Tech Assets
Implementing new solutions and replacing any outdated inefficient tools & processes with real time assistance from a technical standpoint.
3. Continued Improvement
Ongoing support giving the organization the ability to scale based on the success of the Engagement.
4. PPM Governance
Establish and implement systems to collect data and monitor what resources are doing. This includes steps towards ensuring policy compliance and corrective actions in cases where said policies have not been followed appropriately.

Integrate
Integration of process and tools through the efforts of the right people with the prequalified skills.

Aligning volume, size, complexity & scope with capacity to insure all available resources are being placed appropriately in an efficient manner.
